From JDivaStyles to NOURAÉ

Back in 2013, I made a life-changing decision: I left my jobs and fully committed to braiding hair. A year later, JDivaStyles was born. What started in my bedroom and my mom’s kitchen soon grew into something far beyond what I imagined.
I was flown to different states, opened my first salon suite, and eventually stepped into my very own storefront. JDivaStyles truly became a known name. 

Over the last 12 years, I’ve poured my heart and hands into this work — perfecting my craft, learning through trials and triumphs, and giving every client not just a style, but an experience.

By 2022, I felt a shift. I couldn’t name it at the time, but something inside me was being called higher.

Through a season of pruning, stretching, and deep reflection, I realized:
I’ve outgrown survival mode.
I’ve outgrown saying yes to what doesn’t align with my spirit & mission.
And most of all, I’ve outgrown the box I once allowed myself to be put in.

Many of you met me as JDivaStyles.
You’ve supported me from my beginning, some of you even growing alongside me — and for that, I’m forever grateful for your support.

Now, I’d like to reintroduce myself.

My name is Janiese. 
I’m a Mother. A Wife. A Daughter. A Sister. An Auntie. A Friend.

I’m a Certified Natural Hairstylist. A Certified Trichologist.

And now, the proud owner of NOURAÉ.

This is more than a name change.
This is a rebirth.
Like a butterfly emerging from a long standing cocoon, I’ve grown wings rooted in MY purpose.

NOURAÉ is the embodiment of everything I’ve learned, lived, and envisioned.
A space where care meets intention. Where beauty is healing.
Where your crown is treated with respect.
